Typically, drilling <br /> of soil borings will be performed by subcontractors which specialize in these types of <br /> investigations. <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> • Portable, hydraulic push/drive sampling system <br /> • 6-inch long, 7/8-inch O.D. stainless steel or brass liners, and 24-inch, 7/8-inch O.D. <br /> butyrate liners, and liner sealing materials (Teflon sheets, plastic end caps, Ziploc <br /> plastic bags) <br /> • Type II Portland cement <br /> • FID or PID organic vapor analyzer <br /> • Equipment cleaning materials <br /> - Steam cleaner <br /> - Generator <br /> - Stiff-bristle brushes <br /> - Buckets <br /> - High-purity phosphate-free liquid soap <br /> - Deionized water <br /> - Rinsate collection system <br /> • Personal protective equipment <br /> • Chain-of-custody forms <br /> • Insulated sample storage container and ice substitute <br /> TYPICAL PROCEDURES <br /> • Applicable drilling permits will be obtained prior to mobilization. <br /> • Sample locations will be cleared for underground utilities. <br /> • All downhole equipment will be steam cleaned prior to use at each location. <br /> is\job\96\966070.01\workplan\append-a.doc A-1 <br />
