Page 4 of 4
Kevin;
The Central Valley Water Board concurs with Shell's 25 July 2011 Well Destruction Work Plan to
abandon 34 monitoring wells in the Mountain House neighborhood.
The wells will be destroyed in-place by injecting grout at a pressure of 25 pounds per square
inch through the well screen into the filter pack. At the ground surface, the well casing will be
removed to a depth of 3 feet below grade and resulting excavation will be restored to match the
surrounding grade.
Please submit a report documenting the completion of the abandonments by 28 October 2011.
Brian Taylor P.G
AGT Program
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
11020 Sun Center Drive
Rancho Cordova, Ca. 95670
(916) 464-4811
9/15/2011
