Mr. Jeff Baker - 3 - 18 September 2008
Stockton Terminals Technical C*ittee
During our 5 June meeting, Stantec stated that a meeting was scheduled with Calcon (the OS
contractor) to perform upgrades or replacements to the OS system. In the Third QMR, STTC
needs to describe whether Calcon performed these repairs and/or upgrades.
3. The Second QMR requests that Regional Water Board staff modify the MRP to require
quarterly sampling of wells PS/P-26 and PS/MW-1 M and annual sampling of PS/P-26, TS-1,
and TS/M-1 to monitor for onsite migration of contaminants from upgradient facilities.
Regional Water Board staff agrees that additional monitoring will be useful in providing
additional site data. However, STTC may perform supplemental monitoring voluntarily at any
time and a revision of the MRP is not needed to allow this.
4. STTC needs to implement the proposed resurveying of monitoring wells PS/WC-1 S, PS/WC-
1 M, SP/WC-1 S and SP/WC-1 M so that the groundwater gradient map can be updated in the
Third QMR.
In summary, by 15 December 2008, please submit a well installation report. If you have any
questions regarding this letter, you may contact me at (916) 464-4811 or by email at
betaylor@waterboards.ca.gov.
M fI ,,
BRIANAYLOR, P.G.
Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Mark Chandler, Time Oil Company, Seattle, WA
Mr. Don Pratt, BP, San Ramon
Mr. Gary Haeck, Stantec Consulting Corporation., Rancho Cordova
Mr. Jeffrey Wingfield, Port of Stockton
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Mr. Mark O'Brien, Environmental Risk Services Corporation, Alamo
Mr. Jeremy Hughes, Levine Fricke, Granite Bay
Mr. Jerry Stauffer, Valero LP, San Antonio, TX
Ms. Amanda Spencer, Ash Creek Associates, Portland, OR
