(Stantec) submits this permit application packet for the destruction of one monitoring <br /> well (OW-1A) at the above referenced site. This well destruction is proposed in Stantec's May 24, <br /> 2012 Addendum to Well Destruction Work Plan. Stantec's original May 4, 2012 Well Destruction <br /> Work Plan was approved by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) in a <br /> letter dated May 18, 2012 (attached). <br /> Attached are a well permit application, a check for well destruction fees ($125), a site map with the <br /> well location, and related required documents. The RWQCB is aware of the upcoming field work <br /> and has promised a quick review and approval of the Addendum. Stantec will email you a copy of <br /> the RWQCB approval letter upon receipt. Due to existing construction schedules, Stantec <br /> respectfully requests an expedited approval of this permit application to avoid interruption of <br /> subcontractors at the Port of Stockton Biomass Treatment Facility currently under construction. <br /> Drilling activities are tentatively scheduled for May 30, 2012 with WDC Exploration and Wells. <br /> Before any excavation work will take place Underground Service Alert will be notified and a private <br /> utility locate company will be contracted. Additionally the well will be hand cleared to five feet below <br /> ground surface with a hand auger prior to drilling operations. <br />
