Harding Lawson Associates
' surface to depths ranging from 2 to 13 feet (Plates 3-5). In general, the coarse-
grained units thin towards the south.
The fine-grained sediments can be divided into two distinct units. The first
' unit ranges in color from blue-grey and gray-green to black, and is predominantly
composed of silty clay, clayey silt, and organic clay, with minor sand and silty-
sand lenses. The second unit is a yellow-brown to brown silty clay. The yellow-
brown unit is seen only in the northwestern portion of the site, and is overlain by
the gray-green to black unit.
November 24, 1987 3 of 9
' B2203-R
