MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> SHELL OIL COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON BULK FUEL DISTRIBUTION FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> Receiving water samples shall be collected from two locations as identified below. Samples should be <br /> representative of the volume and nature of the receiving water. Time of collection of a grab sample <br /> shall be recorded. The following shall constitute the receiving water monitoring program: <br /> R-1 At the point of discharge into the San Joaquin River <br /> R-2 Approximately 500 feet downstream of the discharge point (Flow direction reverses due <br /> to tidal action and releases to the water projects. The Discharger shall note which <br /> direction is downstream at the time of sample collection) <br /> Type of Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Samole Freauencv <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/I Grab Monthly' <br /> pH pH Units Grab Monthly' <br /> Temperature °C Grab Monthly' <br /> Ammonia mg/1 Grab Monthly' <br /> ' To be collected between 8-12 hours after the onset of the discharge, and <br /> prior to terminating the discharge <br /> REPORTING <br /> Quarterly monitoring results shall be submitted by the 20th day of the month, following the end of the <br /> calendar quarter. <br /> In reporting the monitoring data, the Discharger shall arrange the data in tabular form so that the date, <br /> the constituents, and the concentrations are readily discernible. The data shall be summarized in such <br /> a manner to illustrate clearly whether the discharge complies with waste discharge requirements. <br /> If the Discharger monitors any pollutant at the locations designated herein more frequently than is <br /> required by this Order, the results of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting <br /> of the values required in the discharge monitoring report form. <br /> Upon written request of the Board, the Discharger shall submit a report to the Board by 30 January of <br /> each year. The report shall contain both tabular and graphical summaries of the monitoring data <br /> obtained during the previous year. In addition, the report shall discuss the compliance record. If <br />
