Shell Oil Company
P.O. Boz 4848
511 N.Brookhurst Street
Anaheim,California 92803
Property. As discussed in our September 23 , 1993 phone
conversation, we would like the Navy to review the results of
their investigation before proceeding further with ours.
I am sorry that I can't give you a time schedule for bringing
the extraction system back on-line. We have submitted a
draft NPDES permit to Patricia Leary, dated September 8,
1993 , and are waiting for a response. We recognize the
importance of your concern regarding extraction system
startup, and would like to solicit your support in acquiring
this NPDES permit so we can resume operation of the system.
If you have any questions or comments please contact me at
(714) 520-3389 .
Very Truly Yours,
D. J. Denning, Assoc. Engineer
Western Distribution Region
Attachment
cc: Harlin Knoll, San Joaquin County Health Department
Nick Pogoncheff, Harding Lawson Associates
J. R.
