(Cambria) has prepared this well destruction report on <br /> behalf of Chevron Environmental Management Company(Chevron) for the site referenced above <br /> (Figure 1). This report was prepared in response to a June 24, 2005 letter requesting site wells be <br /> properly destroyed before case closure is granted(Attachment A). <br /> On July 19,2005,Cambria's Senior Staff Geologist Christene Sunding observed Gregg Drilling and <br /> Testing(C57#485165)destroy wells MW-1 through MW-3 in accordance with San Joaquin County's <br /> well destruction standards. The wells were properly destroyed by removing the top 3 feet of <br /> overburden to 20 inches in diameter,pressure grouting the casing and filling the"mushroom cap"with <br /> cement.The waste generated will be characterized and disposed of at a Chevron approved landfill. <br /> Cambria's Standard Operating Procedures for Well Destructions are presented as Attachment B. A <br /> copy of the well destruction permit from the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health <br /> is presented as Attachment C.
