' S ECOR <br />' Request for No Further Action <br /> Chevron Station 9-2396 <br /> December 16,2004 <br /> Page 4 <br /> was transported for proper disposal to Stockton, California by Forward Landfill, Inc During <br /> the UST removal and excavation, three new 12,000-gallon USTs were installed, with <br />' associated product piping and new pump islands <br /> Laboratory analytical results for the soil samples contained low concentrations <br /> (1 9 ppm to 410 ppm) of total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPHg), <br /> benzene (0 008 ppm to 0 11 ppm), toluene (0 009 ppm to 6 7 ppm), ethylbenzene <br /> (0 008 ppm to 6 9 ppm), and xylenes (0 009 ppm to 46 ppm) <br />' Domestic Water Well Sampling — 1994 <br /> On June 24 and July 28, 1994, water samples were collected from the domestic water <br /> supply well located on the edge of the property, near the Frontage Road and approximately <br /> 60 ft west of the pump islands Laboratory analytical results reported no detectable TPHg <br /> or BTEX at or above method detection limits Action levels for likely chemical constituents <br /> based on preliminary remediation goals (PRG) and California Environmental Protection <br /> Agency (Cal/EPA) established values, can be seen in Table 1 <br /> Site Assessment— 2001 <br /> lie On April 26 and April 27, 2001, SECOR supervised the advancement of three soil borings <br /> (SB-1, SB-2, and SB-3) to 79 feet below ground surface (bgs) Two soil samples and one <br /> groundwater "grab" sample from each boring were submitted for analysis for TPHg, BTEX, <br /> tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tert-butyl ether (MtBE), dl-Isopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> ethyl tert-butyl ether (EtBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), ethanol, 1-2 dichloroethane <br /> (1-2 DCA), ethylene dibromide (EDB), and total lead Soil sample analytical results <br /> Indicated no petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations above method detection limits <br /> (Table 2) The field and laboratory procedures are contained In Appendix B <br />' Low concentrations of toluene ranging from 0 617 micrograms per liter (µglL) to 0 893 µglL <br /> and xylenes ranging from 1 17gg/L to 1 48 ttglL were detected in the groundwater "grab" <br />' samples collected from borings SB-1 and SB-3 MtBE was reported in the SB-1 <br /> groundwater sample at a concentration of 13 0 µg/l_ The on-site domestic water supply <br /> well was also sampled and determined to be free of any chemical constituents analyzed for <br />' by the laboratory The field boring logs are contained in Appendix C <br /> Site Assessment— 2002 <br />' On May 14 and May 15, 2002, SECOR supervised the advancement of three soil borings to <br /> a maximum depth of 85 feet bgs and the installation of groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 <br />' through MW-3 in each of the borings Up to seven soil samples from each soil boring were <br /> submitted for analysis of TPHg, BTEX, and MtBE Soil sample analytical results reported <br /> no hydrocarbon concentrations above method detection limits <br />' I 1Chevron1923961Reports\FINAL_NFAR_REPORT doc <br />
