The site assessment consisted of <br /> 1 advancing three exploratory borings to collect soil and groundwater,samples and <br /> collecting a water sample from the on-site domestic water supply well. The purpose of <br /> this assessment was to evaluate possible hydrocarbon impact to soil and groundwater at <br /> the site: <br /> } SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is an active service station located at 25651 Highway 99 North in Acampo, <br /> California. <br /> On August 25, 1993, one waste oil underground storage tank (UST) and one heating oil. <br /> UST were removed. One soil sample was taken from beneath each of the USTs. The <br /> heating oil UST soil sample, D-1-9', reported non-detectable levels for all analyzed <br /> constituents. The waste oil UST soil sample, WO-1-9', reported non-detectable levels of, <br /> all analyzed constituents except for chromium at-29 parts per million (ppm), lead at 7 <br /> ppm, zinc at 44 ppm, and nickel at 21 ppm. <br /> On December 15, 1993, one 10,000 gallon, two 6,000 gallon, and one 3,000 gallon single <br /> walled steel USTs were removed. The USTs appeared to be in good condition, with no <br /> visible holes observed.
