Environmental Resources Managerneht-North Central, Inc, (ERM-North. <br /> Central) is requesting a permit to drill three soil borings to a depth of <br /> approximately 18 feet below ground surface (BGS) as part of <br /> environmental site assessment activities_ The three soil borings will be <br /> drilled at the locations shown in Figure 1 at the Sears Automotive Center, <br /> located at 5110.Pacific Avenue,Stockton, California. EF,TVI-North. Central <br /> has subcontracted ERM-West, Inc. (ERM-West) of the Walnut Creek, <br /> ry` California to perform this work. The purpose of this investigation is to <br /> r istudy the stable isotopes of lead in the' <br /> soil. <br /> ERM-West has subcontracted West Hazmat to drill the soil borings using <br /> `* the following procedures: <br /> Prior to arriving on site, all utilities will be marked by the <br /> k 4 appropriate authorities. f <br /> ' 0 Prior to initiating drilling activities, between each boring arid.prior <br /> to leaving the site, all drilling equipment will.be decontaminated. <br /> in accordance with local and state regulations. <br /> Each sail boring will be continuously sampled to a depth of <br /> Y <br /> approximately 18 feet BGS using a split-spoon sampler or other <br /> equivalent sampling device.
