Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Subject: Continuation of Well Permit for Monitoring Well MW-101, Lincoln Center, Stockton,
California
Dear Mary:
Levine-Fricke•Recon Inc. (LFR) has recently completed the installation of monitoring well
MW-100 at the Lincoln Center Site (the LC Site; see attached site vicinity map) in Stockton,
California. This well was installed by Spectrum Exploration Inc., under the supervision of LFR.
LFR will install two additional monitoring wells, MW-101 and MW-102, in the immediate vicinity
of monitoring wells MW-100 and MW-11 at the LC Site (see attached LC Site plan). Monitoring
well MW-101 will be installed on the night of Wednesday, November 13, and the morning of
Thursday, November 14, 1996. Currently, we do not have a schedule for installing monitoring
well MW-102, and will notify you at least 72 hours before the installation of this well. We
understand that we are authorized to install these wells under the existing permit for MW-100
(permit#10792, issued October 25, 1996), filed in your office by Adam Klein of LFR on October
17, 1996, because the same subcontractor (C-57 licensee), Spectrum Exploration Inc., will perform
the work and the work is in the same assessor's parcel.
Monitoring well MW-101 will be 4 inches in diameter to a total depth of approximately 75 feet
below ground surface (bgs). The screen for MW-101 will be constructed of stainless steel and set
across the 50 to 75 feet bgs interval. The filter pack material for MW-101 will be determined in
the field and will be installed across the 45 to 75 feet bgs interval.
Monitoring well MW-102 will be 4 inches in diameter to a total depth of approximately 75 feet
bgs. The screen for MW-102 will be constructed of stainless steel and set across the 70 to 75 feet
bgs interval. The filter pack material for MW-102 will be determined in the field and will be
installed across the 68 to 75 feet bgs interval.
We will notify you 48 hours before the installation of MW-101 to schedule grout inspection,
anticipated for Thursday, November 14, 1996.
190o Powell Street, 12th Floor, Emeryville, California 94608-1827 • (510) 652-4500 • fax (510) 652-2246 • Offices Worldwide
