LEVINE • FRICKE
ENGINEERS,HVDROGEOLOGISTS 8 APPLIED SCIENTISTS
period for review and comment of the detailed plan, and submittal of the detailed plan to the Court
for approval prior to the implementation of the proposed IRAs.
To prepare a detailed plan for an IRA for the Site, Levine-Fricke will submit an IRA work plan to
LPL, the Regional Board, and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental
Health Division that will outline the proposed data collection and necessary data analysis, a
schedule for these activities and a schedule for the preparation of the detailed plan. We will submit
this IRA work plan by September 1, 1996. It is likely that most of the data collection activities will
be performed as part of the source investigation portion of the RI. However, to facilitate
implementation of IRAs at the Site, it will be useful to accelerate certain RI tasks. For example, A-
zone aquifer testing will be performed at the beginning of the RI at select locations at Lincoln
Center, and data evaluation and groundwater modeling could begin soon thereafter to facilitate
design of a "low-flow" groundwater extraction system.
Please contact me if you have any questions or comments. We look forward to discussing this
matter with you at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
4m-
Donald
T.
