The work plan details the scope of work to occur during <br /> the next round of remedial investigation(RI). The work will include surveying and mapping activities, a <br /> monitoring well integrity assessment, a sewer line video survey, a shallow and deep soil vapor <br /> investigation, and the installation of additional ground water monitoring wells in both the source area and <br /> around the plume perimeter. The additional wells are to be installed in the A-, B-, and C-zones and will <br /> be followed by aquifer pumping tests. <br /> The work plan for the RI is hereby approved. According to the schedule in the work plan, a report <br /> detailing the results of the investigation is to be submitted by 31 October 1997. However, interim data <br /> reports are needed in the meantime. The work plan shows six sequences of activities for the RI and <br /> describes"meet-and-confer' sessions after each one to discuss the results and determine the next steps. <br /> Board staff need to be involved in these sessions and receive the data to be discussed. <br /> Please provide at least 72 hours notice prior to field activities in case I wish to observe or obtain split <br /> samples.
