Pevine-Fricke-Recon
ENGINEERS,HVDROGEOLOGISTS 8 APPLIED SCIENTISTS
ADDRESS STATUS
6632 Pacific Avenue; LFR contacted the current property owner, 1st Jun Jun Investments Inc., which
former Safeway well has no knowledge of the existence or status of a well reportedly located on the
property.
Safeway representatives indicated that the well formerly located on this property
was abandoned in 1970 or 1971. According to Mr. Jeff Brown, Environmental
Affairs, Safeway htc., the well was destroyed when the former Safeway building
was remodeled. The area around the abandoned well was paved for the expanded
parking lot. Safeway has no information on how the well was abandoned and has
no record of a permit to abandon the well. Historical building drawings, to be
provided by Safeway, will be reviewed to evaluate whether the former well can
be located.
6508 Alturas Avenue LFR contacted the current owner of this residence who has no knowledge of the
existence of a well reportedly located on the property. The well was identified on
a sanitation permit for installation of a septic system in 1965. Ms. Mata was
unaware of the existence of a well and has lived at this address for approximately
9 years. The City of Stockton has provided her household with water and sewer
service since she has lived there.
6408 North El Dorado LFR contacted the current owner of this residence who has no knowledge of the
Street I existence of a well reportedly located on the property.
Collect water-level data from Chevron and Exxon monitoring wells during a single
contemporaneous event during a period when Exxon monitoring wells are not being pumped
and the soil-vapor extraction system is not operating at the Exxon site.
As previously stated, water-level measurements were collected from Chevron monitoring wells
during the November 1997 quarterly sampling event. Access to the Exxon wells has not been
granted. As previously noted, and as recommended by the RWQCB, LFR will not include
Exxon monitoring wells in the quarterly monitoring program.
Collect split groundwater samples from selected Chevron and Exxon monitoring wells for
VOC analysis.
As previously stated, split groundwater samples were collected from Chevron monitoring
wells for VOC analysis in August and November 1996, and in November 1997. As previously
noted, LFR recommends adding three Chevron monitoring wells to the quarterly monitoring
program as described above. Because of access restrictions, the Exxon wells have not been
sampled by LFR.
Ltr-Resp-RWQCB-Dec97-04t 1 LSRL 3
