Wendy Cohen - 5 - 6 October 1999
Upgradient groundwater data, however, are sparse and may not be sufficient for a remedy analysis or
selection.
9. {Page 76, Section 10.0} The Draft RI recommends installing additional wells in the interior of the
plume and conducting a B-zone aquifer test. A-zone monitoring.wells are also needed upgradient of
the site along and crossgradient from Benjamin Holt Drive. In addition, I will assess the B- and
C-zone aquifer investigations after I receive the data from the LVMD wells in the Final RI Report.
10. {Figures 32 and 50} Concentrations of VOCs at location CPT-248/MW-213B are shown as"ND"
and"9.3 µg/1"on Figures 32 and 50,respectively. These concentrations should be the same and
need to be corrected in the Final RI Report.
11. (Figures 38 through 46} On the figures showing distribution.of VOCs in the soil vapor, Figures 38
through 4;' and Figure 46 show concentrations in µg/1 while Figures 43, 44, and 45 show
concentrations in mg/l. Units should be the same for similar figures.
12. {Figure 50} Well MW-113A with a concentration of 7.00 µg/1 is outside the 0.5 µg/1 contour. The
contours need to be revised to incorporate well MW-113A.
13. {Figure 52} This figure needs to include isoconcentration contours showing the estimated extent of
total hazardous substances.
