<br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
<br /> The Board was informed on 16 March 1999 that the groundwater extraction system at the downgradient
<br /> edge of Lincoln Village Center was shut down due to a lapse in an environmental insurance policy.
<br /> Operation of the groundwater extraction system is necessary to abate the condition of pollution in
<br /> groundwater beneath the site and prevent further migration of the plume offsite. Continued non-
<br /> operation of the system could result in the issuance of a Cleanup and Abatement Order. Violation of a
<br /> Cleanup and Abatement Order may lead to civil liabilities of up to $5,000 for each day in which the
<br /> violation occurs.
<br /> The Board hereby requests that the parties responsible for remediating the Lincoln Village Center
<br /> groundwater pollution restart the groundwater extraction system immediately. If you have any
