Page 2 of 3
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
80 gallons of grout(mix ratio of 40 gallons water to 8 bags of cement) poured down the well to bring the grout
to the top of casing.
Grout in casing held a pressure of 20psi for five minutes.
45 gallons of grout mix(40 gal H2O and 8 bags) poured into well vault to bring grout up to 8 inches above the
top of the 4" PVC casing.
SVE-033:
Tagged Depth—27.5 ft bgs
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
70 gallons of grout(mix ratio of 40 gallons water to 8 bags of cement) poured down the well to bring the grout
to the top of casing.
Grout in casing held a pressure of 20psi for five minutes.
45 gallons of grout mix(40 gal H2O and 8 bags) poured into well vault to bring grout up to 6 inches above the
top of the 4" PVC casing.
The following Soil Vapor Monitoring Wells were pressure grouted and will be mushroom capped tonight(I had
one crew pouring grout and a second crew pressurizing the wells after grout had been poured to roughly TOC):
SVMW-019:
TD= 28.5 ft bgs
40 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC(8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
Well successfully held 20 psi for 5 minutes and had little drop in grout level.
SVM W-020—TD= 28.0 ft bgs
Table one states that the well had a 2" casing but after opening the vault it was discovered that the well was a
4" casing. I did an intensive search for a secondary well in the vicinity with no success and I made the decision to
grout the well as there were no other well in the vicinity and the location of SVMW-020 matched very well to
what was depicted on my MW location map.
68 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC(8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
Well successfully held 20 psi for 5 minutes and had 6-8 inches of drop in grout level.
SVM W-03:
TD=20 ft bgs
22 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC (8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
Well successfully held 20 psi for 5 minutes and had less than one foot drop in grout level.
SVMW-02:
TD= 20 ft bgs
30 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC(8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
Well successfully held 20 psi for 5 minutes and dropped roughly 6 inches.
SVM W-01:
TD=20 ft bgs
25 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC(8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
Well successfully held 20 psi for 5 minutes and had little drop in grout level.
SVMW-05:
TD=24.5ftbgs
38 gallons of grout used to get grout to TOC(8 bags cement to 40 gallons water).
9/18/2015
