After tagging the below listed SVE wells last night, it was discovered that
the weight attached to the end of the tag line was coated with a silty material (see picture). Since the total
depth of the SVE wells was less than 30 feet, I instructed the pressure grouters to pour the grout mixture
downhole, and top off the SVE vaults to a height of 6 inches above the cut off SVE casing as was done on the first
night when you were present to witness the grouting and destruction of these wells.
SVE-001:
Tagged Depth—27.5 ft bgs
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
60 gallons of grout(mix ratio of 30 gallons water to 6 bags of cement) poured down the well to bring the grout
to the top of casing.
40 gallons of grout mix poured into well vault to bring grout up to 6 inches above the top of the 4" PVC casing.
SVE-023:
Tagged Depth—27.5 ft bgs
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
90 gallons of grout(mix ration of 30 gallons of water and 6 bags of cement) required to bring grout up to TOC.
Additional 40 gallons of grout required to bring grout up to 6"above TOC.
SVE-027:
Tagged Depth—26.5 ft bgs
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
50 gallons of grout (mix ratio is 3 gallons water per 3/4 bag of cement) required to bring the grout up to TOC.
Pressure was applied and the well held at 20psi for 5 minutes.
50 gallons of grout mix poured into well vault to bring grout up to roughly 8 inches above the top of the 4" PVC
casing.
Image 0325 depicts the silty material attached to the weight at the bottom of the tagline
SVE-030:
Tagged Depth—27 ft bgs
PVC Conveyance piping and well head cut and removed.
60 gallons of grout (mix ratio is 3 gallons water per%bag of cement) required to bring the grout up to TOC.
50 gallons of grout mix poured into well vault to bring grout up to roughly 6 inches above the top of the 4" PVC
casing.
Image 0331 depicts the tag line at ground surface showing the total depth of 27 ft bgs.
9/14/2015
