The groundwater quarterly
monitoring events for the second and third quarters of 1996 and the soil analyses for
the installation of monitoring wells 10 and 11 as well as vapor wells 1 through 6 were
the topics of the report.
Missing from the report were the boring logs for the monitoring and vapor wells installed
during May 1996. Also missing was the groundwater gradient map for the August 14,
1996 sampling event.
For the last year, your quarterly reports have lacked the required signature of a
California registered individual qualified to make geological interpretations (i.e., a RG or
CEG). On this last combined report, there was not a Thrifty Oil representative signature
either. All reports submitted to PHS-EHD that include geological or engineering
evaluations are to be signed by a qualified registered professional as well as the
responsible party or the report will not be accepted.
Soil data listed within Appendix C, on page 2, listed EPA method 8015M (Gasoline)
data for "VW-10-5 through VW-10-45". Since there is no VW-10, this error will need to
be corrected and an updated/corrected copy of this page should be submitted to PHS-
EHD immediately.
Notations at the bottom of Table 1 indicated that the detection limit for TPH-G was at
0.2 mg/l. The accepted detection limit for TPH-G is 50 ug/I or 0.05 mg/I only. Reports
submitted with data listed at elevated detection limits and reported as "ND" (non-detect)
will not be accepted.
A Division of San?oaquin LJUnty Heaith Care-er\ices
