Wilson & 7647 Pacific Ave.
Stockton, CA.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD)
has reviewed the "3rd Quarter 2001, Status Reports" dated October 30, 2001 for both of
the Thrifty Oil Company (TOC) sites noted above and has the following comments.
Conclusions discussed in TOC #172 (Pacific Ave) status report included a request to
modify the oxygenate analyses from quarterly to annually. The sampling protocol
modification for this site is approved. Groundwater samples from all monitoring and
`wet' vapor wells are to have all seven (7) oxygenates analyses reported. This
modification is to start during the First Quarter, 2002 and continue during every first
quarter thereafter.
Conclusions discussed in TOC #171 (Wilson Way) status report requested approval in
conducting an aquifer pump test due to rising/elevated levels of MtBE in the
groundwater. The pump test is approved as written.
You may contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 should you have any questions and
to schedule an appointment for the sampling events and the pump test.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
0
Michael J.
