THRIFTY OIL CO. <br /> June 29, 1995 <br /> Mr Mike Infurna J U L 1 2 1995 <br /> Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division <br /> County of San Joaquin ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> P O Box 2009 (1601 E Hazelton Ave } <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> RE T7infty Oil Company Strewn„#172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> 2nd Quarter 1995 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter serves as a quarterly monitoring report for the above mentioned service station This <br /> status report presents site monitoring efforts during the 2nd quarter 1995 Thrifty Oil Co has <br /> • retained Earth Management Co (EMC) to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities <br /> at the site The data is reported by Thnfty's in-house environmental staff <br /> SITE REMEDIATION <br /> To date, remediation of soil and groundwater has not been conducted at the site In April 1994, <br /> Thrifty completed a site assessment investigation that included installation of new wells MW7 <br /> and MW8, and presented recommendations for additional site work Thrifty's Site Assessment <br /> Report dated June 13, 1994 contains details regarding this investigation <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> On May 9, 1995, the site was visited by an Earth Management Co (EMC) technician The <br /> EMC technician obtained depth to groundwater data and observed wells for the presence of free <br /> product Groundwater depth measurements were taken from the top of PVC well casing using <br /> an Oil Recovery Systems interface probe capable of measurements to within 0 01 feet Depth <br /> to groundwater ranged from 46 47 to 47 58 feet below grade which represents a rise of about <br /> 1 foot from the fast reported data Using the depth to groundwater and survey data for the site, <br /> a groundwater contour map was developed The contour map is presented as Figure 1 The <br /> contour map suggests that the potentiometric surface of the shallow groundwater is generally flat <br /> across the site with an eastward trend The hydraulic gradient is about 0 002 This data is <br /> consistent with previous quarterly interpretations <br />• <br /> �O <br /> 10000 Lakewood Boulevard, Downey, CA 90240-4082 • (310) 923-9876 <br />
