THRIFTY OIL CO:,1_ 11" <br /> October 18, 1994 1" r- <br /> Mr Mike Infurna <br /> Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division <br /> County of San Joaquin <br /> P O Box 2009 (1601 E Hazelton Ave ) <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> RE- 7hrjfty Oil Company Station #172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> 3rd Quarter 19945 4v,>( <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter serves as a quarterly monitoring report for the above mentioned service station This <br /> status report presents site monitoring efforts during the 3rd quarter, 1994 Thrifty Oil Co has <br /> retained Earth Management Co (EMC) to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities <br /> at the site The data is reported by Thrifty's in-house environmental staff <br /> SITE REMEDIATION <br /> To date, remediation of soil and groundwater has not been conducted at the site As requested <br /> by PHS/EHD, a revised workplan for additional investigation at the site with regard to definition <br /> of the vertical and lateral extent of soil and groundwater contamination was submitted by Thrifty <br /> Oil Co In April 1994, this work was completed, it included installation of new wells MW7 and <br /> MW8, and presented recommendations for additional site work Thrifty's Site Assessment <br /> Report dated June 13, 1994 contains details regarding this investigation <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> On August 15, 1994, the site was visited by an Earth Management Co (EMC) technician The <br /> EMC technician obtained depth to groundwater data and observed wells for the presence of free <br /> product Groundwater depth measurements were taken from the top of PVC well casing using <br /> an Oil Recovery Systems interface probe capable of measurements to within 0 01 feet. Depth <br /> to groundwater ranged from 50 06 to 51 37 feet below grade which is a drop of about 2 5 feet <br /> from the last reported data Using the depth,to groundwater and survey data for the site, a <br /> groundwater contour map was developed The contour map is presented as Figure 1 The <br /> contour map suggests that the potentiometric surface of the shallow groundwater is generally flat <br /> across the site with a slight eastward trend.
