INTRODUCTION <br /> In April 1994, Thrifty Oil Company performed a subsurface site assessment investigation at <br /> Thrifty Service Station 172 The site is located at 7647 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 1) This investigation was intended to provide additional information on the extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in the subsurface soil and groundwater beneath the site The scope of <br /> work for the investigation was presented in Thrifty's Revised Work Plan dated December 31, <br /> 1993 This Work Plan was approved by the County of San Joaquin Public Health <br /> Services/Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD) This report presents the findings of the <br /> investigation <br /> The subject site consists of a retail gasoline sales facility located on the southwest corner of <br /> Pacific Avenue and Rivara Road in Stockton The site as generally square and about 16,250 <br /> square feet in size Currently, the site maintains an existing cashiers booth with three pump <br /> islands located along the southeast portion of the site, parallel to Pacific Avenue Four <br /> underground gasoline storage tanks are located in the central portion of the site The size and <br /> contents of the tanks are as follows <br /> 1 - 12,000 gallon regular gasoline <br /> 1 - 10,000 gallon super unleaded <br /> 2 - 6,000 gallon unleaded <br /> Other subsurface structures beneath the site include three drainage culverts running east/west <br /> along the northern property line The site is generally covered with asphaltic concrete with <br /> driveways located along the northern and eastern property lines The site has maintained a <br /> gasoline service station for at least the last 27 years and it as not anticipated that the site usage <br /> will change in the near future The site as owned by Thrifty Oil Company but is currently <br /> operated by BP Oil Co <br />�� Page 1 <br />
