5. Soil samples are of sufficient volume to perform designated analysis including soil vapor <br /> and soil extract analysis and to provide replicate analysts. <br /> S. Soil samples are capped with Teflon or aluminum foil, maintained air and water tight, and <br /> preserved according to field preservation techniques. <br /> 7_ Soil samples are preserved immediately after collection and during transportation to the <br /> laboratory for analysis. Samples are preserved and kept within an ideal temperature <br /> range of 0 to 10° C (use of ice in an insulated ice chest is acceptable). <br /> 8. All soil samples are labeled and include information as follows: <br /> • sample source (i.e , well or boring number, location, site) <br /> • sample depth <br /> • time and date of sample collection <br /> • laboratory number and field identity <br /> • sampling method (i.e., split spoon, drive tube) <br /> • type of analysis to be performed <br /> 9. Proper chain of custody procedures are followed with all soil samples from the time the <br /> sample is collected to delivery of samples to the laboratory. <br /> 10. All soil sampling equipment must be properly cleaned by the described method before <br /> each sample is taken. <br />
