Station 4172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> 3rd Quarter 2000, Status Report <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Presented herein is the Third Quarter 2000, Status Report prepared for former Thnfty Oil Co <br /> (Thnfty) Station#172 located at 7647 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (Figure 1) Presented <br /> in this report are the results of the site monitoring efforts conducted dunng the Third Quarter 2000 <br /> . Thrifty has retained Earth Management Co (EMC)to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling <br /> activities at this site <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Depth to groundwater 1s measured in each monitoring well quarterly Gauging data obtained from <br /> June 1991 through August 18, 2000 is presented in Table 1. In general, groundwater occurs under <br /> water table conditions beneath the station at depths ranging from 32 45 feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs) in monitoring well MW-7 to 35 12 feet bgs in monitoring well MW-4 (Appendix A) A <br /> groundwater elevation contour map based upon August 18, 2000 data is presented as Figure 1 <br /> Groundwater flow direction beneath the site is to the north under a hydraulic gradient ranging from <br /> nearly flat across the site to 0 03 feet/foot <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Sampling <br /> As part of the groundwater monitoring program, groundwater samples were obtained from <br /> monitoring wells MW-3 through MW-11, except MW-8 which was abandoned Groundwater <br /> samples were obtained by EMC and delivered in a chilled state, in an ice chest, following strict <br /> Chain-of-Custody procedures to a state certified laboratory These samples were analyzed for <br /> volatile aromatic compounds of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA <br /> method 826013, for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-g) by EPA method 8015M modified for <br /> igasoline, for oxygenates by EPA method 8260B, and Glycols-Alcohols by EPA method D285 <br /> Q� <br /> 13539 E Foster Road, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670-0138 • (562) 923-9876 <br />
