Station #172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> 3rd Quarter 1999,Status Report <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Presented herein is the Third Quarterly 1999, Status Report prepared for the above-mentioned <br /> . service station (Figure 1) Presented in this report are the results of the site monitoring efforts <br /> conducted during the 3rd Quarter 1999 Thrifty Oil Co has retained Earth Management Co (EMC) <br /> to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities at this site <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Depth to groundwater is measured in each monitoring well on a quarterly basis Gauging data <br /> obtained from June 1991 through August 1999 is presented in Table 1. In general, groundwater <br /> occurs under water table conditions beneath the station at depths ranging from 33 98 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs) in monitoring well MW-7 to 35 97 feet bgs in monitoring well MW-4 A <br /> groundwater elevation contour map based upon August 18, 1999 data is presented as Figure 2 <br /> Groundwater flow direction beneath the site is 0 02 feet/foot to the southwest <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Sampling <br /> As part of the groundwater monitoring program, groundwater samples were obtained from <br /> monitoring wells MW-3 through MW-11 The vapor wells ("VW" series) were gauged, and all <br /> wells were dry according the EMC Project Status Report Sheet presented in Appendix A <br /> Groundwater samples were obtained by Earth Management Company (EMC) and delivered in a <br /> chilled state, in an ice chest, following strict Chain-of-Custody procedures to a state certified <br /> laboratory and analyzed for volatile aromatic compounds of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> xylenes by EPA method 8020 and for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-g) by EPA method 8015 <br /> 13539 E Foster Rd, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670-0138•(562)923-9876 <br />
