Station #172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> 4th Quarter 1998, Status Report <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Presented herein is the 4th Quarterly 1998 Monitoring Report prepared for the above mentioned <br /> service station (Figure 1) Presented in this report are the results of the site monitoring efforts <br /> conducted during the 4th Quarter 1998 Thrifty Oil Co has retained Earth Management Co (EMC) <br /> to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities at this site The data is reported by Thrifty's <br /> in-house environmental staff <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Depth to groundwater is measured in each monitoring well on a quarterly basis Gauging data <br /> obtained from June 1991 thru November 1998 is presented in Table 1, and this report covers the <br /> period from October thru December 1998 In general, groundwater occurs under water table <br /> conditions beneath the station at depths ranging from 32 80 feet below surface grade (bsg) in <br /> monitoring well MW-5 to 35 20 feet bsg in monitoring well MW-6 A groundwater elevation <br /> contour map based upon November 24, 1998 data is presented as Figures 2 Groundwater is formed <br /> under mound conditions near monitoring well MW-3 The general direction of groundwater gradient <br /> beneath the site is radially away from the mound center as gauged on November 24, 1998 The <br /> groundwater gradient beneath the sites is from 0 008 to 0 014 feet/foot <br /> Free product hydrocarbons has not historically been present at this site <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Sampling <br /> As part of the groundwater monitoring program, groundwater samples were obtained from <br /> monitoring wells MW-3,MW-4,MW-5,MW-6,MW-7,MW-9,MW-10,and MW-11 on November <br /> 24, 1998 Groundwater samples were obtained by Earth Management Company (EMC) and <br /> delivered in a chilled state, in an ice chest, following strict Chain-of-Custody procedures to a state <br /> d laboratory and analyzed for volatile aromatic compounds of benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene, <br /> Jl J <br /> ��� 13539 E Foster Rd , Santa Fe Springs,CA 90670-0138-(562)923-9876 <br />
