Station 4172_ ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> N PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> TM <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, Ca 95207 (6-G, <br /> Status Report (2nd and 3rd Quarters) 1_/_0 t Y-r <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter serves as a status monitoring report for the above mentioned service station This <br /> status report presents site monitoring efforts during the 2nd and 3rd Quarters Thrifty Oil Co has <br /> retained Earth Management Co (EMC) to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities at <br /> the site The data is reported by Thrifty's in-house environmental staff <br /> SITE REMEDIATION <br /> To date, remediation of soil and groundwater has not been conducted except for quarterly well <br /> purging and monitoring In May, Thrifty completed a subsurface investigation that included <br /> installed of six on-site well borings These well borings include both groundwater monitoring <br /> wells and vapor extraction wells on the site The location of these wells are shown in Figure 1, <br /> and are labeled as follows MW-10/VW-1, VW-2, MW-1 l/VW-3, VW-4, VW-5, VW-6 The <br /> VW wells are vapor extraction, and the MW wells aie the groundwater monitoring These wells <br /> were installed in late May by Aquageo Consultant Co This work is the follow-up for some of the <br /> wells that were abandoned for the tank replacement, and others were determined from the vapor-' <br /> extraction test which was preformed The soil analytical results are included in Appendix C <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> On August 14, 1996, the site was visited by an Earth Management Co (EMC) technician The <br /> EMC technician obtained depth of groundwater data and observed wells for the presence or <br /> absence of free product Groundwater depth measurements were taken from the top of PVC well <br /> casing using on Oil Recovery System interface probe capable of measurements to within 0 01 feet <br /> Using the depth to groundwater and survey data, a groundwater contour map was developed <br /> The groundwater contour map is presented in Figure l The contour map suggests that the <br /> potentiometric surface of the shallow groundwater is generally flat across the site with an <br /> eastward trend and a hydraulic gradient of 0031 feet/feet This data is consistent with previous <br /> AO� <br /> 10,000 Lakewood Boulevard, Downey, CA 90240-4082 * (310) 923-9876 <br />
