1 <br /> THRIFTY OIL CO. <br /> September 30, 1995 <br /> 1y <br /> Mr Mike Infurna <br /> Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division <br /> County of San Joaquin <br /> P O Box 2009 (1601 E Hazelton Ave ) t <br /> Stockton, California 95201 ib <br /> RE 7hd& Oil CompanX Station #172 i <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue 1"� <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Report <br /> 3rd Quarter 1995 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> This letter serves as a quarterly monitoring report for the above mentioned service station This <br /> status report presents site monitoring efforts during the 3rd quarter 1995 Thrifty Oil Co has <br /> retained Earth Management Co (EMC) to conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities <br /> at the site The data is reported by Thrifty's Zn-house environmental staff <br /> SITE REMEDIATION <br /> To date, remediation of soil and groundwater has not been conducted at the site In July 1995, <br /> Thrifty completed a subsurface investigation that included installation of three new off-site wells <br /> (MW5, MW6 and MW9) and abandonment of six on-site wells This work was preliminary to <br /> site reconstruction efforts which included removal and replacement of the underground tanks and <br /> construction of a new market building Thrifty's Subsurface Investigation Report dated <br /> September 6, 1995 contains details regarding this investigation <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> n August 16, 1995, t e site was visited by an Earth Management Co (EMC) technician The <br /> EMC tec mcian o twined depth to groundwater data and observed wells for the presence of free <br /> product Groundwater depth measurements were taken from the top of PVC well casing using <br /> an Oil Recovery Systems interface probe capable of measurements to within 0 01 feet Depth <br /> to groundwater ranged from 46 56 to 49 06 feet below grade which represents a slight drop from <br /> the last reported data Using the depth to groundwater and survey data from August 16, 1995, <br /> a groundwater contour map was developed The contour map is presented as Figure I The <br /> 0 contour map suggests that the potentiometnc surface of the shallow groundwater is generally flat <br /> Qo <br /> 10000 Lakewood Boulevard, Downey, CA 90240-4082 • (310) 923-9876 <br />
