Memor n um
Date: July 7, 1997
To:: Beth Thayer, CVRWQCB
CC NA
From: Ron Rowe, Sr. RENS, San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health
Division (PHSIEHD)Site Mitigation Unit
RE: 22700 S. Highway 99, Nelson Ready Mix LOP Site-Jack Tone Road Interchange Proposal
Beth,
Enclosed please find the preliminary site report, maps of the highway project proposals, and data from
City of Ripon Municipal Well#12. This information is all I have regarding the petroleum plume and how
the plume may eventually be directly beneath the new south bound on ramps. Our intent here is to
k provide some clear direction for the RP, the City of Ripon as the next property owner at 22700 S. HWY
99 and then eventually the final owner Cal Trans. We will need to review highway drainage, structural
support(borings for pillars etc...)and other issues in detail prior to finalizing our corrective action goals.
Please call nor to our Friday Jul 11, 1997 meeting at Ripon City
Hail at 10:30 am so that we can
p Y Y 9
discuss our general approach for future activities at this site. I have-not yet found a good map which
shows you how to get to the City offices, however, one will be provided by Wednesday this week.
Thanks again in advance for your cooperation and prompt responses to local issues. It is always a
pleasure to work with you.
RWR
Attachments
02/25197 Confidential
