FINIDINGS
' Ground water elevation and flow direction were deduced from field data, the hydrocarbon-impact
to ground water was assessed by laboratory analysis of the ground water samples
3 1 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
iThe elevation of ground water in each well was calculated by subtracting the depth to ground water
from the surveyed casing elevations (Table 1) Depths to ground water for the 22 September 2004_
monitoring event ranged from 8185 feet to 82 35 feet below the tops of the well casings Ground -
water elevations at the site ranged from 25 16 feet below mean sea level (MSL) in MW-1 to 25 61
feet below MSL in MW-3 The maximum groundwater gradient was calculated to be 0 021 foot/foot
with a flow direction to the east-northeast (Figure 4)
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES ,
TPH-g was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 and MW-3 during the
September 2004 monitoring event at concentrations of 250 micrograms per liter(µg/1)and 300 pg/l,
respectively (Table 2)
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
x
