INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Pat Meeks of the former Pacific Auto Center,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 25355 N Highway 99, <br /> Acampo,California The scope ofwork included quarterly groundwater monitoring and preparation <br />' <br /> of this report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure <br /> 1, structures and monitoring well locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 Background <br /> information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Preliminary SiteAssessmentReport,dated 07 April <br />' 1999 Data from previous ground water monitoring events is included in the tables of this report <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigations of underground <br />' storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells issued by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) and by the San Joaquin County <br /> . Environmental Health Department (EHD), respectively <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 29 March 2002 a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the <br /> three wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were <br /> determined from this data(Table 1) <br /> After depth to ground water measurements, a minimum of three casing-water volumes was purged <br /> from each well to be sampled using new disposable plastic bailers Approximately 6 to 11 gallons <br /> of water were removed from each well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were <br /> measured at regular intervals during the purge process using a Oakton water analyzer Field data <br /> sheets are included in Appendix A Purged water was,stored on site in labeled, 55-gallon <br /> DOT-approved drums - -- <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION AND LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> A water sample was collected from each purged well using a new disposable plastic bailer Each <br /> water sample was transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 mi 18% <br /> hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, <br /> iplaced in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody to Cal Tech Environmental <br /> Laboratories(CTEL),a California Department ofHealth Services-certified analytical laboratory,and <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
