Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report <br /> • PACIFIC AUTO CENTER <br /> 25355 N. Highway 99, Acampo, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Veer Singh,`Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) for Pacific Auto Center located at 25355 <br /> N Highway 99, Acampo, California (site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1, a plan <br />' of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work included the advancement of two soil probe borings, five auger borings, <br /> installation of three ground water monitoring wells, evaluation of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> concentrations in ground water, and characterization of ground water flow direction and gradient at <br /> the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> I <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br />' The site is located south of Collier Road in a rural area of northern San Joaquin County, north of the <br /> city of Lodi The site is located in an area of low topographic relief in the city of Acampo The site <br /> is within the northeast quarter of Section 12, Township 4 North, Range b East, Lodi North <br /> Quadrangle <br /> AGE has been informed that three underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site <br /> in 1978 The contents and volume of the former USTs are not known,however,the site was formerly <br /> operated as a Mobil gasoline station Two concrete dispenser islands are still present at the site The <br />' USTs were apparently removed from an unpaved area north of the former dispenser islands A <br /> former waste oil UST may have been located near the garage area Mr Singh recently had this area <br />' covered with asphalt <br /> AGE is unaware of any soil samples collected during the removal of the USTs However,the former <br />' UST area was re-excavated in 1988 and, according to information and records provided to AGE by <br /> Mr Singh, no petroleum hydrocarbons were encountered <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Tasks and procedures for this investigation were completed by AGE personnel, or under the <br /> direction of AGE personnel, and were conducted in accordance with the (Preliminary-Site <br /> Assessment Work Plan) 15 January 1999 and (Work Plan Addendum) 12 February 1999, prepared <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,!ne <br />
