SECOR <br /> 00 lriter'national Incorporated <br /> October 2, 2000 Pfd '._ <br /> Project 077 41941 330 S-9 <br /> Ms Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Assessment Report <br /> ARCO Station 4595 <br /> 6100 North Highway 99 <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) to document the installation of four groundwater <br /> monitoring wells and the drilling of three soil borings at the site referenced above (Figure <br /> 1) The purpose of this work wa'sto evaluate the horizontal and vertical extent of <br /> ADhydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the site This work was perfor coed as <br /> described in the Work I'lunfot .Sill A%ses,%nleltt, dated February 28, 2000 The Wr�tk <br /> Plan was approved by San Joaquin County Public Health Services as indicated in their <br /> letters dated March 14 and March 22, 2000 (Attachment A) <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 6100 North Highway 99 in Stockton, Calrfoi nra and rs an operating <br /> AMIPM mini-mart and ARCO service station The site is bordered by orchards to north, <br /> east, and south, and Highway 99 to the west The site ctu rently contains thr ee 12,000- <br /> gallon gasoline USTs and associated product lines and dispensers Additionally a <br /> domestic well supplying watee to the service Station is present at the southwest poitron of <br /> the property <br /> During September 1999 product lines and dispensers at the site were upgraded Twenty- <br /> one soil samples were collected fiorn beneath the product lines, vapor lines dispensers, <br /> and previous abandoned in place product lines TPHg was reported in eighteen of the <br /> twenty-one samples with concentrations ranging from 1 94 mg/kg to l 1,300 mg/kg <br /> Benzene was reported in fifteen samples at concentrations ranging from 0 03 16 nig/kg to <br /> 48 3 mg/kg MtBE was reported in fourteen of the samples ranging in concentration <br /> from 0 1 10 ting/kg to 0 47 mg/kg TBA, DIPE, EtBE, TAME, 1,2 DCA, and EDB were <br /> reported as nondetectable in all samples Approximately 189 tons of soil gene]ated <br /> during the removal of the undergr ound facilities and the trenching for new piping was <br /> disposed of at BFl Landfill in Livermore CA <br /> 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 91686104-301-ax www secor com <br />
