Well Survey <br /> As reported in the Site Assessment Report dated October 2, 2000, SECOR performed a <br /> water well survey to identify the location of permitted water supply wells within a 1/z-mile <br /> radius of the site The water well survey included a review of California Department of <br /> Water Resources (DWR) files for the area Additionally, SECOR contacted the City of <br /> Stockton and San Joaquin County Public Works Department, which are the local water <br /> purveyors According to these sources, no municipal wells operate in the survey area by <br /> City of Stockton and San Joaquin County Public Works DepartmeyA total of five <br /> wells were located within the search area dunng the initial search, including an active <br /> domestic well on the so hwest corner of the ARCO property <br /> As indicated in aPHS tter dated October 26, 2000, no public water is distributed <br /> along the Highway-99 ast Frontage Road At the request of SJCEHD, SECOR <br /> completed a 500-foot door-to-door well survey Water supply well location survey forms <br /> were submitted to four adjacent businesses (El Rancho Motel, Weinerschnitzel, Auto <br /> Factory, and Denny Boy Restaurant) and one residential property (8100 N Highway 99) <br /> One survey form, returned by Weinerschnitzel, indicated the presence of a well (well 6/ <br /> DW-1) supplying the restaurant The well is constructed of 6-inch steel casing, however, <br /> the total depth of the well could not be verified (estimated to be 170 feet deep by the <br /> manager of Weinerschnitzel) In addition to dispersing survey forms, SECOR conducted <br /> a physical search of the area and found a domestic well (well 71 DW-2) located on the <br /> northern portion of the Auto Factory property Conversations with a Denny Boy <br /> Restaurant employee revealed that the well on the Auto Factory property (well 7 /DW-2) <br /> served both the Auto Factory and the Denny Boy Restaurant No other details about the <br /> well completion were recovered <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work for this site assessment will include the installation o0two and <br /> three deep groundwater monitoring well at the approximate locations shown on Figure 2 <br /> These groundwater monitoring wells have been proposed to delineate the lateral and <br /> vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in shallow and deep groundwater at the site <br /> The specific scope of work is discussed below <br /> • Site Health and Safety As required by the Occupational Health and Safety <br /> Adrrunistration (OSHA) Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120), and by California <br /> Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Cal-OSHA) "Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8, <br /> Section 5192), SECOR will prepare a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan <br /> prior to the commencement of fieldwork The Site-Specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan will be reviewed by the field staff and contractors before <br /> WPLAN595-2-15-2002 <br />
