INTRODUCTION. <br /> At your request, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Site <br /> LW Assessment Report for 5942 North Highway 99, Stockton,California(site).The location of the site <br /> is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan view of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> �. This report is prepared as directed by the San.Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) by letter.dated 10 February 2000 to investigate an <br /> unauthorized release associated with underground storage tanks(USTs).This work plan is prepared <br /> in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the subsurface investigation of UST sites. <br /> This report has been prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> � aw <br /> The site is located at 5942 North Highway 99 East Frontage Road, Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California(Figure 1) south of Hammer Lane along the west side of the frontage road. The facility <br /> was formerly operated as a Texaco Gasoline Station, with three fuel USTs and two fuel dispenser <br /> islands.Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples during aprevious investigation ofthe <br /> site by Espana Geotechnical Consulting(Espana).As a result of Espana's investigation,the site was <br /> assigned to PHS-EHD. In a letter dated 10 February 2000; the PHS-EHD directed that further <br /> investigation of the site be completed to assess the vertical and lateral extent of hydrocarbon <br /> contamination.The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation between 30 and <br /> 35 feet above mean sea level..The.site is in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 2 North, <br /> Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Lodi South Quadrangle, 7.5-Minute USGS <br /> Topographic Series,.photo revised 1976). <br /> LW <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property is currently utilized as a used auto sales lot. The site is occupied by a.single structure <br /> and associated canopy. The site is bordered on the south by Denny Boy's Restaurant, on the north <br /> by a fast food restaurant,on the west by Highway 99 and on the east by North Highway 99 Frontage <br /> Road. <br /> A domestic drinking water well is located near the northeast corner of the property. This well <br /> provides drinking water for both The Auto Factory and the adjacent Denny Boy's Restaurant, The <br /> Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc. <br /> Low <br />
