The letter proposes a revised schedule for groundwater monitoring well
installation. This extension was requested to allow the design of pond berms prior to installation of the
wells. The revised schedule proposed by The Twinning Laboratories is approved; however, it should be
noted that staff first requested Canandaigua Wine Company (CWC) to install wells in December 1999.
We trust that there will be no further delays.
CWC shall now submit the groundwater well installation report, including a presentation of groundwater
sample analytical data,by 30 August 2000. As stated in the 29 February 2000 Comments on Workplans
letter prepared by staff, quarterly sampling is required. CWC shall submit quarterly monitoring reports
by 30 November 2000 and 28 February 2000; the final groundwater characterization report shall be
submitted by 30 May 2001.
If you have any questions, please telephone me at (916) 255-3116.
TIMOTHY R.
