Kennedy,'Jenks Consultants <br /> Section 8: Reporting (Injury, Property Damage, or Near <br /> Miss) <br /> 8.1 Injury and Illness Care and Notification Procedures <br /> 8.1.1 Emergency Services (9-1-1) <br /> Call 9-1-1 for critical injuries or illnesses (i.e., head injuries, uncontrolled bleeding, <br /> difficulty breathing, chest pain, or altered level of consciousness) or if an employee or <br /> his/her supervisor has immediate concerns about an injury or illness. <br /> 8.1.2 Incident Intervention <br /> Kennedy/Jenks Consultants has retained WorkCare, a team of occupational physicians, <br /> to provide our employees with effective treatment of non-critical work-related injuries <br /> and illnesses. WorkCare provides on the spot, 24/7 employee consultations at the time <br /> an on-the-job incident occurs, as well as post accident follow-up and consultation. <br /> 8.1.3 When to Call WorkCare <br /> In the instance of a non-critical workplace incident, an employee should call WorkCare <br /> at (888) 449-7787 to receive instruction on how to contact one of their clinicians, and <br /> contact their immediate supervisor as soon as possible. Common non-critical workplace <br /> injuries/illnesses include: <br /> • Back sprains <br /> • Slips, trips, falls <br /> • Shoulder strains <br /> • Contact with a harmful substance <br /> 8.1.4 Employee Role <br /> The injured employee, if able, must do the following: <br /> • Report any non-critical injuries to WorkCare at (888) 449-7787, and as soon as possible <br /> to their immediate supervisor. WorkCare will notify the Director of HS&E and the <br /> Business Unit H&S Manager of the accident.
