(ATC) has prepared this Workplan on behalf of Bigge Crane and Rigging Company
(CLIENT) to perform an environmental soil boring investigation at the Coyner Property located at 4020
Newton Road, Stockton, California. The scope of work is based on the findings of a Phase I Environmental
Site Assessment (ESA) of the site by ATC on May 15, 2001. The CLIENT requested that ATC prepare
this soil boring and sampling plan to provide an assessment of the potential for impact to the soil from the
areas noted below. The work will be performed as part of due diligence process for a real estate
transaction.
This Workplan gives a brief description of the site history, site usage and known environmental impacts. In
addition, the Workplan describes the key project and data quality objectives, and specific field and
analytical procedures to be utilized during the investigation.
SITE USAGE AND BACKGROUND
The site consists of a rectangular parcel with three buildings and an asphalt-paved parking lot. A Phase I
Environmental Site Assessment was performed for the site by ATC in May 2001. According to our
historical review, the site was used for equipment rental and maintenance. Two discreet septic systems and
leach fields were related to two of the buildings on site. The CLIENT requested that a soil boring and
sampling plan be prepared to provide a general assessment of the soil conditions in the vicinity of the leach
fields. The CLIENT is currently under no mandate from state or local enforcement agencies to perform
this investigation. A Site Location Map and a Site Detail Map are attached.
