Two monitoring wells (MW-6 and MW-6D) were installed down <br /> gradient from existing monitoring well MWA to evaluate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> impacts to soil and groundwater onsite. With the exception of the well screen intervals, <br /> discussed in Section 3.2, the activities were conducted as proposed in ARCADIS' Work Plan for <br /> Site Assessment(Work Plan), dated September 30, 2009. The Work Plan was approved in the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) letter, dated October 1, <br /> 2009. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 SITE HISTORY <br /> The site is a former service station located at 3978 South Highway 99 in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 2). The site is currently occupied by the Low Price Auto Glass facility; however, the <br /> original service station building, dispenser island, and canopy remain in-place. The property was <br /> reportedly operated as a Texaco service station from 1957 to 1973 with four underground <br /> storage tanks (UST) and two dispenser islands located onsite.
