Hwy. 99 E. Frontage Road
Stockton CA 9521.5
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJC/EHD) has reviewed Quarterly
Report—Fourth Quarter 2006(Report)dated December 31, 2006, submitted on your behalf by
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,-Inc. and has the following comments.
The Report documents a routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling event that was
performed at your site in November 2006. This was the second time monitoring well MW-1 was
monitored and sampled since its installation. The onsite drinking water well was also sampled.
Analytical results from the MW-1 water sample were positive for total petroleum hydrocarbons,as
gasoline, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA). Previously, two
grab groundwater samples collected from soil borings were positive for 1,2-DCA, though the first
sample collected from MW-1 was reported to contain no 1,2-DCA. Routine quarterly groundwater
monitoring and sampling of MW-1 must continue until directed otherwise by SJC/EHD.
Please prepare a work plan to continue the investigation of the vertical and lateral extent of the
documented petroleum hydrocarbon contamination at this site. The work plan is due for submittal
to SJC/EHD no later than April 27, 2007.
SJC/EHD supports the Report recommendation to identify the last owner/operator of the
underground storage tanks formerly operated at this'site.
If you have any questions please call.Lori Duncan at(209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
LZrLA-
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Mwgaretr agorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Program Coordinator Unit IV
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB
Art Deicke, AGE
II
