(EAI). EAI had appli d for
the encroachment permit for the purpose of installing a ground water monitoring well beneath
the west side of Pacific Avenue, south of Robinhood Drive. For convenience, we have
enclosed a copy of that letter dated January 8, 1996.
EAI recently collected a ground water sample using the Hydropunch technique, a one time
sampling event, i.e., no permanent well was installed. This ground water sampling was
required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (County). The contact t the
County is Mr. Michael Infurna (360/468-3454).
The permit for the well location proposed in our January 8, 1996 application could rot be
granted due to the proximity of underground fibre-optic communication lines. The County has
informed EAI that a ground water monitoring well will no longer be required at theabove-
referenced location. Therefore, EAI hereby requests the City cancel our previous applic tion,
and return the permit fees and the deposit (to meet the City's bonding requirement) to EAL
PLANNING, ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSES AND
HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES MANAGEMENT AND REMEDIATION
