Subsequent to the receipt of the CVW B July 21 letter, you agreed to extend the
response time from July 30 to August 20, 2010.
In the CVW B July 21 letter, you requested that the second round of soil vapor sampling be conducted and
a report provided by September 30, 2010. The second round of soil vapor sampling,as indicated in the
Report, was recommended consistent with regulatory guidance (guidelines published by the California
EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control and the New York State Department of Health)to evaluate
the potential seasonal variations in soil vapor concentrations, in addition to validating the results of the
first event. Consistent with this recommendation, AECOM proposes to conduct the second round of
sampling in October, and to provide a report of the findings by December 3, 2010. The sampling will be
performed consistent with the previously approved work plan and first round of sampling.
If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Jennifer Johnston at (916) 708-1237.
Sincerely,
AECOM /
Jennifer Johnston, P.E.
