Barton <br /> Central Valley Water Board <br /> 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova, California 95670 <br /> RE: Schedule for Soil Vapor Investigation Activities <br /> Cleanup and Abatement Order No.5-00-707,Case Numbers 390258 and 390014 <br /> 5400 and 5606 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> Chevron#306620(former Unocal#5098) <br /> AECOM Project Number—60146576 <br /> Dear Mr. Barton: <br /> AECOM, on behalf of Chevron Environmental Management Company (CEMC), is presenting to the <br /> Central Valley Water Board (CVWB)this tentative schedule for the soil vapor investigation for the <br /> former Montgomery Ward, LLC (Wards)auto service center located at 5400 Pacific Avenue and the <br /> former Unocal Service Station#5098 located at 5606 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California, which <br /> are referenced collectively as the Site. <br /> In a letter dated April 19, 2010, the CVWB approved the Work Plan for Soil Vapor Investigation <br /> (Work Plan). Since April 20, 2010,AECOM has contracted with Woodward Drilling to install the <br /> vapor wells and submitted applicable well permit applications to San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department(SJCEHD). Pending timely receipt of permits from SJCEHD,AECOM <br /> anticipates the following: <br /> April 29, 2010: vapor well location utility clearance(1 day) <br /> ,SIL ,2010: installation of vapor wells(1 day) <br /> 2010: initial sampling of vapor wells(1 day) <br /> Week of May 31, 2010: receipt of vapor analytical reports(standard turnaround) <br /> Week of July 12, 2010: report submittal to CVWB of soil vapor investigation <br /> activities(45 days after receipt of analytical results) <br />
