Your Report recommends shutting off the soil vapor extraction(SVE) system, continue operation of <br /> the Air Sparging(AS)system, and continue quarterly monitoring of air sparging and groundwater. The CAO <br /> requires approval from the Executive Officer prior to shutting down any remedial system. <br /> I concur with staff recommendations in the attached memo, and in accordance with Cleanup and Abatement <br /> Order No. 5-00-707, approve the Union Oil Company of California,Environmental Audit,Incorporated request <br /> to cease operation of the SVE system, and continue operation of the Air Sparging system.
