CAO No. 5-00-707 • -2 - • .22 October 2003
5400& 5606 Pacific Ave., Stockton, San Joaquin County
analysis equivalent, utilizing Summa canisters, to determine whether significant soil gas contaminant
rebound occurs and to provide the rationale to restart the SVE system. I recommend evaluating whether
conversion of the SVE wells to a passive venting system is feasible and cost effective.
I concur with the recommendation to continue operation of the AS and groundwater monitoring, which is
required by the Order, as long as AS occurs in all aquifer zones. I recommend continuance of pulsing the
AS system in all aquifer zones, to optimize the AS system.
2. Figure 14 and Table 1 show that all monitoring wells are non-detect for Methyl tert-Butyl Ether
(MtBE) at<0.5 µg/L. The Appendix C Laboratory Report from Sequoia Analytical lists a
reporting limit of 2.0 µg/L for MtBE for this quarter, which correlates to a non-detect for MtBE
results of<2.0 µg/L, not<0.5 µg/L.
