Mr. James Barton
November 2, 2004
Page 6
Due to the cost of operating system and the regulatory mandate to cleanup the site in a timely
manner, it is our intention to fully optimize the AS/SVE operation. Future AS/SVE optimization
activities and seasonal fluctuations in groundwater elevation may produce sporadic and
short-term elevated concentrations in wells MW-14 and MW-18D. However, we will monitor all
wells for increasing trends and make system optimization adjustments as required.
The fourth quarter sampling event was completed on October 22, 2004. During this quarterly
sampling event, all monitoring wells were sampled. Draft copies of the analytical results will be
submitted to the RWQCB for review within prior to November 15, 2004. The results of this
sampling event will be evaluated to assess increasing or decreasing trends in Unit B.
Remarks/Signatures
The interpretations contained in this work plan represent our professional opinions, and are
based in part, on information supplied by the client. These opinions are based on currently
available information and are arrived at in accordance with currently accepted hydrogeological
and engineering practices at this time and location. Other than this, no warranty is implied or
intended.
If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Ben Heningburg at
(916) 288-4315.
Sincerely,
ENSR Corporation
Benjamin I.
