SECOND QUARTER 1998 GROUND WATER MONITORING REPORT San Joaquin County <br /> 16 Montgomery Ward Auto ServiLr Center Public Health Services Department <br /> 5400 Pacific Avenue Stockton CA Site Code 2163 <br />' <br /> 3.0 ANALYTICAL TESTING <br /> The samples were delivered for analytical testing to American Scientific Laboratories (ASL), a <br /> state certified hazardous waste testing laboratory (Certificate No 2200) ASL is certified for <br /> all tests completed as part of this Investigation The samples were tested using EPA Method <br /> 8260 for volatile organic compounds which include benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, <br /> methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), DI-isopropyl ether <br />' (DIPE), Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (ETBE) and Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) The <br /> samples were also tested for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) using modified <br /> EPA Method 801.5 The results of this testing are shown in Tables 2 and 3, and Figure 3 <br />' 4.0 DISCUSSION <br />' The current gauging data indicate that the round water elevations in the wells have risen on <br /> g g g g <br /> average approximately 4 feet as compared to the previous quarter's measurements (see Table <br /> 1) Interpretation of the ground water elevation map indicates that the predominant direction <br /> of ground water flow below the Montgomery Ward site, at the time of measurement, was <br /> generally westerly at a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 008 foot/foot (see Figure 2) <br /> The ground water flow direction for previous quarters for which data are available is as <br /> follows <br />' PERIOD FLOW DIRECTION <br /> First Quarter 93 East-Southeasterly <br /> Second Quarter 93 South-Southwesterly <br />' Third Quarter 93 South-Southwesterly <br /> Fourth Quarter 93 East-Southeasterly <br />' First Quarter 94 Easterly <br /> Second Quarter 94 Southerly <br /> Third Quarter 94 Southerly <br /> Fourth Quarter 94 Southeasterly <br />' First Quarter 95 East-Southeasterly <br /> Second Quarter 95 West-Southwesterly <br /> Third Quarter 95 West-Southwesterly <br /> Fourth Quarter 95 Easterly <br /> First Quarter 96 Easterly <br /> Second Quarter 96 Southwesterly <br /> Third Quarter 96 Southwesterly <br /> Fourth Quarter 96 Undetermined <br /> First Quarter 97 Northeasterly <br /> Second Quarter 97 Southwesterly <br />' Third Quarter 97 Southwesterly <br />' Project No 1232 - 3 - ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT, INC <br />
