Kennedy Jenks
relative to nearest benchmark at the Facility. Horizontal locations of the new wells will also be
surveyed relative to the California Coordinate system to 0.1 foot.
2.2.3 Groundwater Sampling
An initial sampling of groundwater will be conducted from the new monitoring wells no sooner
than 72 hours after the newly installed wells have been developed. Groundwater samples will
be collected and analyzed in accordance with the existing MRP. The new wells will be
incorporated into the existing MRP.
2.2.4 Residuals Management
Residuals generated as a result of these activities are anticipated to include soil cuttings from
the drilling activities, decontamination water resulting from the drilling activities and development
of the monitoring wells, and purge water from sampling of the monitoring wells. The soil cuttings
will be distributed on the ground near each work site. Water residuals will be distributed on the
ground or in the LAA at the Facility, in a manner that does not affect work site safety.
2.2.5 Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Procedures
Field QA/QC will include collection of one field duplicate sample during each groundwater
sampling event. The results of the duplicate sample will be compared to the primary sample for
consistency. The laboratory will follow their standard internal QA/QC procedures during sample
analysis, including elements such as analyzing method blanks and control spikes where
appropriate.
2.2.6 Data Review
Analytical data received from the laboratory will be reviewed immediately upon receipt for
completeness and consistency. Any discrepancies will be discussed with the laboratory and
corrective measures will be taken if warranted.
2.2.7 Reporting
Upon receipt of the laboratory analytical results, a Monitoring Well Installation Report that
summarizes the groundwater well installation and sampling activities will be prepared. The
report will provide: purpose of well installation project; brief description of
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions encountered during installation of the wells; topographic site
map showing facilities, all well locations, and other major physical and man-made features;
drilling details, including soil boring logs and a narrative of field activities; well construction
details; well development information; and a well survey. The report will conclude with an
evaluation of the data collected and, if needed, recommend additional field activities.
A quarterly monitoring report will be issued following each quarterly sampling event. The
quarterly report will include updated groundwater data tables and figures, laboratory analytical
reports, a narrative of the field activities, an evaluation of the data, and, if needed,
recommended additional field activities.
Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, The Wine Group, Franzia Winery, Ripon, California Page 6
\\kjc.local\kjc-root\kj-offcelsfolprojects\is-proj1202612665002.00_twg ripon gw men well supportM-reportshwispltwg ripon men well install wp_020426.docx
